The KG team visited BBC Gardeners' World Live at the NEC, Birmingham in June this year and picked out some veggie highlights. Here are just a few of the pictures we took while we were there. 25 May 2010.
The KG team spent a very hot Monday at the opening day of the Chelsea Flower Show this week and to prove that we weren’t there to just top up our tans you can see a small selection of the pictures we took as we searched for fruit and veg inspired displays and ideas for your plots. Although of course Chelsea is a wonderful sight to see and we’d always recommend you visit it if you get the chance, it is never the best of the season’s events for fruit and veg, even at a time when flowers are taking a back seat to veg growing for many. However, what was there was quite spectacular and we did find plenty that we think will interest you, including another great win for KG's Medwyn Williams who notched up his 11th Chelsea Gold Medal with a superb display (see picture). We’ll have some more sights from the show in the August issue of KG for you, many of which the TV cameras may well have missed. Here’s a taster to whet your appetite.KG goes live!
27 April 2010.
Record crowds visited the Harrogate Flower Show over the four days from 22-25 April and the KG team were there in force. The magazine sponsored the much enlarged fruit and veg section of the show this year and editors Steve and Emma were there to offer advice on veg growing and to give some practical demos on making up hanging baskets and herb containers for the patio to large and enthusiastic audiences . We will have a full report in the July issue of Kitchen Garden and to coincide with the launch of this issue on 3 June, will add a full gallery of pictures online, too. Here are a few images from the show to whet your appetite.Current Issue: June 2013
