Post Hough Organic Garden Open Day, 4/5 August 2012
Peter Woollam's Hough Garden, Hough Lane, Alderley Edge, Cheshire SK9 7JD (near the junction with Mottram Road) is open to the public on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th August 2012, from 12 noon until 5pm on both days.

This is perhaps my favourite organic decorative kitchen garden in the UK (I'm slightly biased as one of its compost heaps is on the front cover of my latest book). I can't recommend it highly enough, and Peter tells me its' 'looking good' despite the summer weather. It's been featured in KG, and if you want a taster of what to expect, I've republished an article from The Garden on my website: http://earthfriendlygardener.net/2009/0 ... e-kitchen/

Entrance charges are £2 for adults, children free, with all proceeds going to Garden Organic.

The garden is open at other times by appointment, contact Peter Woollam tel: 01625 425192.

Enjoy it.

Wow, beautiful and looks pretty productive too. :)

Just a reminder that it's Open Day at Peter Woollam's Hough Garden this weekend. Peter's plot is a must-see exemplar of just what can be achieved using a thoughtful, nature-inspired organic approach.
