Post Tropical Ruby
Just finished eating the last tomatoes from Tropical Ruby. Previously grown outdoors but this year I had a greenhouse. They were put in late having been grown in pots under one of these plastic affairs and were a bit lanky. Grown on in larger pots they recovered. Despite being a small tomato they have fairly thick skins and this seems to have enabled them to ripen off the plant without losing too much flavour. Fresh they are very good, though not quite up to Gardeners Delight.

Post late tomatoes
Hi

Had you just harvested them? I can't believe that I still have Gardener's Delight plants cropping (admittedly quite thinly) in my unheated greenhouse. I picked about a pound last Saturday, though the plants are definitely dying now. I was going to pull them up but couldn't resist the thought of picking fresh tomatoes for Christmas Day tea salad!

Did other people find their tomatoes went on much later this year?

GG
