No, I'm learning Italian although I do understand a little spoken German. However, my mother is fluent and also excellent at reading and writing. Why do you ask?

 Translation..?
You can get a translation online if you really want to now what it says, go via Google; ity will probably turn out to be a rude toast, they're about the only things I know how to say in several different languages, funny that...

OK Grock, it should be
Pronto, pronto, e una bellissima bambina
if it's a baby boy, just change it to
Pronto, prono, e un bellissimo bambino
Have you been someone's birthing partner recently? In Italy?
Ciao amore

Grock,
either your spellings got worse or thats a bit of the old Welsh creeping in.

 The Linguists!
Hi Both,
Another piece of useless information is that I do French Evening Classes and because the classes I attend are in Powys you can also take Welsh but the cost of Welsh Classes is double that of French hence when it comes to beginning the classes they never go ahead because they don't get enough people.
Not a lot of people know that! (read in Michael Caine voice)

Grock, you've surprised me!!! I thought you could only ask for alcohol in Welsh!!!
After all this time. Mind you, if something is written on Joes mug i'd put money on it saying something filthy!!!!

Hmm...not too sure of the spellings. That gothic stuff is really difficult to read and it's probably in a southern dialect that makes it even worse! It's something along the lines of 'you'll be in a great mood if you have tasted the whole of the bowl (perhaps mug), and the other bit 'auf der alm..' is that it's beautiful on the alpine pasture. Sorry, couldn't see any smutty words in there. Maybe there's something at the bottom of the mug as well as around the sides.

Vivien, aren't you clever!!! I was wrong there. I've always wanted to speak another language. Will have to go to night school I suppose.
I'm sure Grock and Joe will be thrilled now they know what's written on it.
