Re: MARMITE..LOVE IT OR HATE IT ??????
The words Marmite and Lovely never go together in my opinion It's the most revolting stuff I have ever tasted I think I was about 6 at the time ( a long, long time ago ) and haven't got over it yet

Marmite is wonderful stuff. Home-made bread toasted with locally made butter (made by my neighbour) and Marmite is heavenly. JB.

As well as the usual on toast etc.
Marmite and lettuce sandwiches for me but is must be crunchy crisp lettuce and as much as can be crammed in - door step style. The first Little Gems are ideal.

Hi Take a thick slice or two of home made bread along with a cheese of your choice mine is a strong cheddar lightly grill bread then add cheese along with as much marmite as you like (Do not go mad the first time) then toast until the cheese runs, allow to cool for a minute then devour. Kevin

Re: MARMITE..LOVE IT OR HATE IT ??????
I like both Marmite & Bovil and will happily alternate between them. My favourite way of using up scraps of pastry is to knead some grated cheese into it, roll it out into a rectangle and lightly spread with Marmite or Bovril. Roll into a Swiss Roll, cut into circles and bake until brown. A batch of these is guaranteed to disappear within minutes in our house.
My dear old Dad used to hate Marmite, but whenever I took him a batch of these which I had baked he would swoop on them and devour them.

I suppose it could be used for fake tans, by the people that are into such things.

Extra strong marmite? Didn't know they made it - must look out for some. Need to be careful when driving though. How many slices of Marmite toast are you allowed to have before you're over the limit?

Perhaps it could be use for all the potholes in the roads. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/food/ ... -like.html
