Post Ants in Potato grow bags
On a couple of occasions I have found an infestation of ants (including flying) in my potato grow bags. I gave a good dowsing of ant powder onto the soil in the bags. Would it be ok to use this soil in the compost bin or should I just dispose of it in my 'green' waste bin. Has anybody else experienced this?

Post Re: Ants in Potato grow bags
We have had quite a few ant infestations in our allotment at times this year and at home in the borders at home. And suprisingly we also found a nest of ants on our bay window sill (a little hole in the concrete sill and they were running in and out of the hole)

Yesterday we picked all our potatoes from the beds and we had a huge infestation in one of the beds. Also a mole problem!! We have never suffered from ants in the twelve years we have had the plot.
