Post Cherokee Trail of Tears climbing bean
Any members grown this variety this season? - How good was the crop?

I grew 10 plants up a wigwam (very appropriate!) but I must say somewhat disappointed with the yield. Oh well, try again next year.

I tried it and the yield was quite good, but oddly some beans were green, some were purple and some were purple and green :) .

My trail of tears - a dozen plants - have been slow and only cropped moderately. Better, though, than the borlotti in the same row, which have not even grown to the top of their 7 foot canes :(

Trail of tears usually produce a variety of pod colour ranging from almost black to almost totally green.
