 Re: Indian Summer
The only good thing about today is the shed roof I mended in the heat wave isn't leaking (yet?).

 Re: Indian Summer
Cloudy, odd bit of sunshine, plus some drizzle, saw a short wide rainbow, well column really, this evening.

 Re: Indian Summer
We spent all yesterday morning digging over a large bed (about 24' x 24') where the potatoes grew this year and found almost a bucketful of potatoes which had got away! Amazing, how they always do. No doubt, there will still be a few volunteers coming up next year.
And today I spread 15 large wheelbarrows of lovely, gooey cow manure onto the same area, manna for the worms.
By the end of this, wheelbarrow, fork and I were covered in manure - great fun cleaning it all off.

 Re: Indian Summer
Took advantage of the Indian Summer to go to south Wales for a few days - Gower Peninsula. Super spot, wonderful views at Rossili Bay, with lots of seals on the rocks Stayed at Mumbles at Tides Reach B & B, which I can heartily recommend - but book a back room if you don't like traffic! John N.

 Re: Indian Summer
Does the monsoon usually come just after the Indian summer?

 Re: Indian Summer
It is still going down here - 21 degrees on lottie today! We have had a little dip during the week but as soon as the sun came out it was warm again.
Unsurprisingly the papers are all doom & gloom predicting the worst snow & cold for years down here, but it is only the last two years that it has snowed around here, previous to that was about 8 years ago.

 Re: Indian Summer
Rained all day today then thoroughly depressed by watching the Countryfile forecast which suggested our very own deluge until Wednesday.
