Potatoes in pots - is it just hype? by Helen Gazeley
26 August 2011
Some activities are just plain bizarre. And growing potatoes in pots, when you have a perfectly good vegetable patch, seems like one of them. Especially as they have less space to grow and need more watering.Purple potatoes and paint pot primroses by Helen Babbs

The roof garden is currently bejeweled with flowers and looks very pretty. Tiny sapphire blue nigella flowers, caged within spiky green tendrils, are blooming in a shallow tray of dirt.
