Deck the halls with boughs of holly…. OR be a little more adventurous with you Christmas decorations
21 December 2012.It’s not just your winter vegetables to fill the plate that you can grow for the festive season, look around your plot or garden to see what you can use to bring the spirit of Christmas indoors.
18 October 2012.To anyone who knows me well, it will come as no surprise to discover that I have a triple bin composting system and that it’s painted Purple! I recently decided that it was in need of some attention and a new coat of paint.
11 September 2012.As I sit down to my lunch I am reminded how very nearly my desert could have been a simple yogurt.
17 August 2012.One evening, whilst I was sat eating my tea, I received a text message. It was from a very close friend whose garden I had designed some time ago. She has always been a keen gardener, but on her own admission lacked a certain amount of knowledge. She is my favourite kind of gardener, one who wants to learn and try new things.
27 July 2012.Earlier this year, Longueville Manor adopted Badongo - the large male silverback gorilla currently residing at Durrell, Jersey’s famous Wildlife Conservation Trust. The adoption is part of the hotel’s ongoing commitment to the environment and whilst fundraising is at the forefront of the hotel’s support, we thought that it is equally as important to ensure Badongo gets his regular five a day, so we have been growing a selection of delicious fruit and vegetables in the Longueville Manor kitchen garden for him to enjoy.
