To commemorate The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, The Royal Parks has teamed up with its contractors to install a magnificent floral crown, in St James’s Park.

A mermaid caused a splash at the Eden Project as she relaxed in a stunning new garden featuring water pools lined with Bodmin Moor granite and filled with some of Cornwall’s most popular plants that opened yesterday.

The first ever Chelsea Fringe is now open (May 19-June 10 and the RHS have announced that tickets to Chelsea Flower Show have sold out. The RHS is suggesting visitors should instead buy tickets to other RHS shows over the rest of the summer. But the volunteers at the Chelsea Fringe like to think that visitors might consider this 'alternative' gardening festival, which now boasts 80 registered projects, most of them free of charge.

Another year, another great attendance at the RHS Show Cardiff, as almost 24,000 people braved the April showers to enjoy the first outdoor show of the Royal Horticultural Society season, which provided the finale to the very first National Gardening Week.
