BRITAIN’S FAVOURITE FRENCHMAN HEADS TO MALVERN
By: Steve Ott
Britain’s favourite French chef, Jean-Christophe Novelli, is heading for Malvern next month, and will be dazzling cookery enthusiasts with his excellent culinary skills.
Be inspired by the cooking of Jean-Christophe Novelli at Malvern Autumn flower show next month
The award-winning Frenchman, who heads up and teaches at his own Novelli Academy Cookery School, is appearing in the Good Life Pavilion Theatre, at the Malvern Autumn Show (29 & 30 September) where he will be cooking, live on stage, with delicious home produce.
Jean-Christophe’s Academy was voted one of the ‘Top Ten’ cookery schools in the UK in 2011, by The Independent, and is now renowned as one of the best in the world.
No surprise really, considering that his accolades include AA Chef’s ‘Chef of the Year’, ‘European Chef of the Year’ finalist, representing Great Britain, and the prestigious ‘Egon Ronay Dessert of the Year’.
Jean Christophe has won many other awards for culinary excellence too, in particular ‘Restaurant of the Year’ on several occasions.
On a more light-hearted note, he was voted ‘The World’s Sexiest Chef’ by the New York Times, featured in Sky TV’s viewers’ ‘Top 50 Beautiful Men’ poll, and has been credited with being able to “make women swoon with the flick of his whisk!”
The Malvern Autumn Show takes place over the last weekend in September, at the Three Counties Showground, Malvern in Worcestershire.
Other attractions include edible gardens, a Royal Horticultural Society Flower Show and Plant Theatre, a Harvest Pavilion with monster vegetables, live landscaping demonstrations, a new Vintage Village area, native livestock, an artisan food market, exquisite crafts, Horse Boarding and Llama Agility, forestry and superb shopping.
