The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS), with the help of Kid's TV Presenters and gardening enthusiasts, Dick and Dom, are searching for the most exciting and creative garden photography. The RHS Young Photographer of the Year Competition is divided into two strands, under 11's and 11-18 year-olds, and is part of the larger RHS Photographic Competition for all ages.

Dom said: "This is a great opportunity for kids to get outside and explore nature, while doing something creative. Winning the title of RHS Young Photographer could be a stepping stone for talented young adults, as well as an introduction to a new hobby for younger kids. We're expecting to see some fantastic entries from wildlife pictures to plant and gardening shots."

The winner will be crowned RHS Young Photographer of the Year and claim top prize of a fantastic digital camera. Second and Third runners up will receive photographic vouchers.

The competition organiser, James Arnold said: "This year we've seen more entries for the RHS Young Photographer of the Year Competition than ever before, and are expecting even more entries through August."

All throughout the month of August, under 16's get free entry to RHS Gardens, providing the perfect opportunity for a fun family day out, and for children to get creative and inspired by gardening.

Entries for the RHS Young Photographer of the Year Competition can be submitted online at www.rhs.org.uk/photocompetition for free until 31 August 2012.
