Wild Pictures, an independent production company based in London, are making a one-off documentary for BBC1 about the quintessentially British world of allotments and need your help.

Plots on film

Is your site ready for TV stardom?

Billed as an affectionate, warm, funny and intelligent film about life inside allotments as well as celebrating what allotments have to offer, Wild Pictures are currently casting the net far and wide - looking for great characters and unfolding stories. Do you have an interesting story about your allotment or do you know somebody that does? Are you a self-confessed allotment addict? Do your giant vegetables win sweep the board each year? Are you and you and your neighbours sick of having your allotments raided by thieves?

Whatever your story Wild Pictures would love to hear from you. To find out more contact Harry on 0207 428 5620 or email:  harry@wildpictures.co.uk. At this stage they are just carrying out research and there is no obligation to take part in any filming.

Filming is a little way off as yet and is planned to start in early March and continuing from time to time throughout the summer.

With a prolonged drought on the horizon for many gardeners this year - will your attitude to watering be affected? Which of these statements is most true for you?

I like to soak my crops regularly. Talk of drought doesn't bother me much.
I don't water at all once seedlings/young plants are established.
Water is short on my plot so I only water when absolutely necessary.
I water occasionally, but when I do give them a good soaking.
A likely prolonged drought has made me think about what I will grow this year and/or made me modify my techniques.
