Top tools for the potting shed
The Neverbend Stainless Steel Weedfork, Hand Trowel and Transplanting Trowel Set from the Spear & Jackson Kew Gardens Collection makes a great gift for any garden lover.
Developed in partnership with the horticultural team from the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, this premium set of hand tools features mirror-polished heads that slip easily through the soil, and are rust-resistant and easy to clean.
Their FSC-certified ash wood handles are sourced from well-managed forests, and are weatherproofed for greater durability. A longer tang makes them easy to use and gives increased leverage, and each tool has a handy leather strap. The set contains an indispensable weed fork and trowel, plus a narrow-blade transplanting trowel with depth markings for accurate planting.
Available from all good garden tool stockists and a range of online suppliers, the Neverbend Stainless Steel Weedfork, Hand Trowel and Transplanting Trowel Set has an RRP of ￡36.49. Every sale from the Kew Gardens Collection ensures a contribution towards Kew’s vital work.

Natural pest control
The unique formulation of Neudorff BugFree Bug and Larvae Killer controls a wide range of sucking and biting pests, including aphids, whitefly, greenfly, spider mites, mealy bugs, scale insects, leaf hoppers and thrips.
It also acts on the eggs and larvae of these insects to provide extended periods of control, as well as being effective against caterpillars.
Neonicitinoid-free and certified for organic use, its active ingredient is pyrethrins, which are naturally derived from the chrysanthemum flower. Due to the pyrethrum’s rapid breakdown, there only needs to be a short waiting period prior to harvest when it is used on edible crops.
BugFree Bug and Larvae Killer is available as a 250ml concentrate (RRP ￡12.99) or a 750ml ready-to-use spray (￡6.49).

Topsoil – delivered!
When did you last revitalise your beds and borders? What about checking your soil for potentially toxic elements?
For a bumper crop of fruit and veg that is safe to consume and floral displays worthy of Chelsea, it helps to start with organic-rich, fertile topsoil produced from carefully selected, reliable sources.
A long-time trusted supplier to the landscaping industry and an RHS award-winner, Rolawn has developed a range of peat-free topsoils that are highly productive and exceptionally safe. In fact, Rolawn tests over and above the standard required for certification for residential home growing (BS3882:2015).
Rolawn Beds & Borders Topsoil is a rich, light and friable blended organic topsoil with added controlled-release fertiliser. This will feed plants for longer, giving better plant health and reducing losses. It is also suitable for your pots and containers.
Vegetable & Fruit Topsoil from Rolawn is a fertile blend of topsoil, organic matter and soil conditioners, formulated for a wide range of crops. It does not contain manures, which can be variable and potentially harmful.
Both topsoils come in bulk bags containing approximately 0.73m3 (26ft3)/730 litres and cover up to 14.6m² (157ft2) at a depth of 50mm (2in). The average price per bag, including delivery to a UK mainland address, is ￡120.
Discover more about turf, topsoils, barks, mulches and lawncare products from Rolawn at www.rolawn.co.uk or by calling 01904 757300.
We have four bulk bags of Rolawn topsoil, each worth an average of ￡120, to give away. Winners can choose either Beds & Borders Topsoil or Vegetable & Fruit Topsoil.
Bees for gardeners
If you are interested in keeping bees but have been discouraged by the knowledge, skills and time required to become a traditional beekeeper, the Gardeners’ Beehive could provide your answer.
The biggest challenge that bees face in today’s world is a lack of places to nest. The Gardeners’ Beehive bee-hosting system puts the focus not on honey production but on encouraging bees into your garden. The bees will amply repay you by pollinating your crops and giving you hours of enjoyment.
The Gardeners’ Beehive is easy to put together; it requires no regular servicing or maintenance, and you need no specialist training. It replicates a natural hollow, such as a tree stump, that wild honeybees create homes in. Just place it in a suitable spot – under a deciduous tree is ideal – and the bees will move in on their own. The hive comes complete with a swarm lure and a symbiotic mulch.

We have one Gardeners’ Beehive, worth ￡235, to give away.
Sustainable coir growing
CoirProducts.co.uk offers a wide and exciting range of biodegradable coir-based products for all types of growers. A natural and sustainable waste product, coir fibre is extracted from the husk of the coconut. Coir has high water and air holding capacities, thus benefiting plant growth, and it biodegrades into the soil over time, adding texture.
All of the products in the range are ethically produced and sourced, and the company also helps to empower cottage industries in the communities it works with.
Five lucky winners will receive a bundle including some of the signature products from CoirProducts.co.uk. Its coir pots, which come in a range of sizes, are ideal for growing plants without any transplanting shock caused by repotting. The Coco Discs are a versatile potting mix that can be used for a variety of plants and crops.
For more information, visit www.CoirProducts.co.uk
We have five packs of 50 coir pots and 50 100mm Coco Discs, each worth a total of ￡62, to give away.
