Win £2,424 WORTH OF Gardening PRIZES this November!

Here are some exclusive Kitchen Garden giveaways for November 2021 – worth a staggering £2,424!

Gifts for the birds

The RSPB’s eco-friendly Coffee Break Bird Watch Hamper is the perfect gift for any garden bird lover.

It contains a beautiful ceramic robin bird feeder, suitable for both seed and suet nibbles and designed to give good visibility of birds coming in to land, 900g of premium sunflower hearts – particular favourites of tits, greenfinches, goldfinches, blackbirds and house sparrows – and 1kg of Buggy Nibbles, which are suitable for pretty much all the birds in your garden.

The hamper also contains a lovely RSPB garden birds mug, and a 200g bag of Bird & Wild organic medium-roast coffee.

It comes in a sustainable jute RSPB Bag for Good, so it’s easy to wrap – or you can just add a ribbon or gift tag and put it under the Christmas tree!

Starter’s orders on seed season

The first of the new season’s seed catalogues are out and, as always, Thompson & Morgan leads the pack.

Highlights among T&M’s vegetable introductions for 2022 include tomato ‘Honeycomb F1’ – the cover star on the new catalogue. It has a sweet, juicy flavour with undertones of honey, and is perfect for eating straight from the plant.

Broccoli ‘Sprouting Summer Purple’ is a hardy variety, withstanding temperatures as low as -12C (54F). It boasts high levels of folic acid and vitamins A and C.

Dwarf French bean ‘Colour Mix’ is a multi-hued mixture of green, yellow and purple beans, perfect for adding colour to your dishes.

Better home shows

The Northern Homebuilding & Renovating Show returns to the Harrogate Convention Centre from November 5-7, and the South West Homebuilding & Renovating Show will be back at the Bath & West Showground in Somerset on November 20-21.

Both shows will be hosting a wide range of exhibitors to meet the demand for the new home trends that have evolved during the pandemic. Visitors will finally have the chance to seek inspiration and review the quality of products in person after months of internet searches and online shopping.

The two shows will bring together thousands of products from more than 100 exhibitors, alongside free daily seminars and masterclasses demonstrating high-quality specialist advice and services from industries including kitchens, bathrooms, extensions and conversions, eco-friendly choices, design, financial services and much more.

One-day tickets cost £8 in advance, and two-day tickets are £12 in advance (children under 16 go free). For more details and to buy tickets, go to: and

We have 50 pairs of tickets to the South West Homebuilding & Renovating Show, worth £36 per pair, to give away.
