‘British Summertime’ is a UK-bred courgette that will yield an abundance of fruit – even in a typically dull, wet British summer! It is one of the earliest-fruiting courgettes, cropping from July. Its exceptionally open bush habit improves air circulation, reducing the incidence of disease and rot.
Dwarf French bean ‘Provider’, part of the Rob Smith range, will grow happily in cooler UK weather. Rob says: “It is known to be one of the most dependable, early green beans – hence the name!” Resistant to bean mosaic virus and powdery mildew, it produces compact plants with masses of stringless 15cm (6in) beans that freeze well. We have 15 Dobies seed bundles, each worth £20, to give away.
