Help celebrate a great community garden's 5th birthday

The King Henrys Walk Community Garden in Islington opened in 2007 and is celebrating its 5th Birthday, this weekend Saturday 8th September 12pm to 4pm with an Autumn Flower & Produce Show, the M/C is David Warwick, West End Actor and we will be firing up our hand built (by Garden Members) Pizza oven.
Join in the fun at King Henrys Walk Community Garden in Islington tomorrow (8th September).
At 3.30pm winner of the best plot will be announced and at 3.45pm best 5th Birthday cake judging will take place.
We have Gary March a North London Sculptor, who will be running Soap Sculpture sessions for Children and Adults and is exhibiting at The Bargehouse OXO Tower wharf in September as part of The 2012 African and Africa-Caribbean Design Diaspora Festival (AACDD) Europe's largest single exhibition of creative black talent from all creative disciplines in the UK . All this along side the a Flower & Produce Show which is open for anyone to enter, face painting, games and childrens' arts and craft activities.
There will be gentle calipso played by George Brade from the Whittington Steel Band
If you get thirsty there will be a Cider Bar for the Adults and apple pressing for the kids. The King Henrys Walk Garden committee would like to thank Islington Council for a Festival Grant that has helped to make this event possible.
