This broccoli raab has been doing well in the polytunnel and is now coming thick and fast. I planted it in the autumn and have been picking it over the last few weeks. The great thing about it is that it can take as little as 60 days from sowing to harvesting. Some are coming into flower as fast as I can pick them but that’s OK as you can eat the flowers too. Certainly a quick way to get some broccoli on your plate. Having said that, broccoli raab is not actually a broccoli but a relation of the turnip. Worth giving it a go if you haven’t tried it.
