“We’re really pleased to be able to showcase Dahlias in the garden again this year. Once again, the Cornish Dahlia Society has been very generous with their time and plants to help us create another summer display of riotous colour in both the Flower Gardens and the Steward’s House Garden.” – Nicola Bradley, Head of Gardens
This three-day floral event will be held at Heligan 28th-30th August and will feature an exhibition by professional and novice dahlia growers from around Cornwall. With categories such as; ‘Waterlily’ and ‘Large Pompon’ and the opportunity to talk with championship and novice growers alike, this show is one not to be missed!
“The Cornish Dahlia Society are delighted to be invited back to Heligan to hold our 40th annual show and to celebrate our 40th Anniversary! It is such a great venue and members of the committee enjoy spreading the word of growing dahlias to the many visitors. Our members are busy tending to their show plants to hopefully ensure a good display of flowers for the show and we welcome anyone that would like to try their hand in our novice classes. We are not only preparing for the show but also planting and tending to over 1400 plants that the society grown in order to put on another spectacular display at Heligan.” – Simon Nute, Cornish Dahlia Society
