Mr Fothergill’s Seeds has a relaxed dress code – so staff dressed up last week to raise money for BBC Children in Need
Commercial Director Tim Jeffries agreed to donate £1 for each person who came to work wearing a tie. The idea came about as he is normally the only person in the office wearing one.
‘Ties for Tim’ was part of a week of fundraising activity at the Suffolk seed specialist, with staff also taking part in a cake bake and the Children in Need annual duck race, and dressing up in their finest yellow or spotty outfits.

The money raised during the week totalled over £400, and will be added to the £15,800 raised through sales of Mr Fothergill’s sunflower ‘Pudsey’ and pumpkin ‘Pudsey’ seeds. Aimed at young gardeners, these were launched earlier this year, with 30p from each packet going to the charity.
Sunflower and pumpkin ‘Pudsey’ each cost £1.99, and are available online at http://www.mr-fothergills.co.uk/ and from selected garden retailers and Homebase stores.
