This edger has a carbon steel solid forged head with hammer finished epoxy coating for improved resistance to rust, humidity and alkalis in the soil. It has an extra-wide T shaped handle made from FSC certified ash and weatherproofed. Shaft size: 91.4cm (36in), blade width: 20.3cm (8in).

KG VERDICT

This is a sturdy edger. The blade was strong and cut into the grass smoothly and cleanly. We liked the generous tread for resting the foot on, and the stirrup was helpful when lifting the blade from each cut. Good length with a comfortable T shaped handle for an improved grip. An excellent all-round edger with a unique design.

KG VERDICT
The handle has a good length which made edging easy on the back. We liked the extra wide T-handle which, with its grips, was comfortable on the hands. It had a more than ample tread for placing the foot and the depth of blade was impressive. Use it for edging lawns but also very good for veg beds where you want to create a deep edge.

BULLDOG SOLID FORGED EDGING KNIFE

This half-moon solid forged edging tool has a T- grip ash barrel handle which is 81.1cm (32in) in length. The blade is 20.4cm (8in) wide and suitable for edging where lawn meets borders, paths, patios and driveways.

KG VERDICT
Characteristic of Bulldog tools, this edger is strong and sturdy. The blade has been forged from one piece of steel so will have no weak stress points. Though a little heavier than some edgers, we found that this really helped when pushing the edger down, the extra weight lending force to the cut. Its attractive bottle green coating will also protect from rust.
