This an excellent planting tool. The pointed blade means that penetration of the soil is easy and the etched depth markings are a useful aid. Made from mirror-polished stainless steel the blade offers excellent rust resistance plus soil doesn’t stick to the surface. The weather proofed ash handle is smooth and comfortable in the hands. The tread on the should of the blade gives added support when pushing downwards with the foot. A lovely tool.

This is a light, well-made and well-designed trowel. With its long narrow head, this is an excellent tool for planting long-rooted crops such as sweet peas, and crops such as peas and beans. It wold also be useful for weeds with long tap roots. The tool head is smooth and sinks into the soil with ease without the soil sticking to it. Would make a great new year’s gift!
