Additionally, on lighter soils, heavy rain will wash those hard-earned nutrients into the lower depths of the soil out of reach of the plant roots. So it’s definitely worth putting some extra effort into protecting your soil during winter. Here are a few ways you can make sure that it stays in tip-top shape.
